Loving Sitges Apartments Sees Strong Bookings Despite the Re

With all the doom and gloom of the recession at the start of the New Year it's no wonder sales by volume were down by around 30% in January.  However, things have picked up over the subsequent months to a tripling of sales by volume over the same month last year, according to Loving Sitges Apartments.

Says Jonny Norman, director of the Sitges apartment specialists, "We believe the slashing of prices by as much as 50%, and special promotions such as a complimentary bottle of cava on arrival, combined with a fantastic portfolio of apartments in great locations around Sitges, has resulted in the March boost to bookings.  People will know that by summer they will need a break from the bad news being thrown at us each day, so they are taking advantage of cheap flights and cheap apartment deals.  There seems no end to the economic break down, but for those lucky enough to be still in work, they seem to be taking the plunge and booking apartments in Sitges over hotels, which work out much cheaper, especially for larger groups".

Sitges hotels are still reporting quiet bookings for this summer, and are hoping for some last minute business driven by good deals.  However, the slashing of apartment prices means that even for just a couple, an apartment seems to be better value than a hotel.  Over the boom time prices for hotels in Sitges have bloated and so they may find it difficult to win back lost business in this current climate.
