Worst vacation

"This was the worst vacation we have ever had in our lives. We check into the hotel on a Friday night which is where the nightmare began. That would be the day that I was charged $1,944.10 for staying at the hotel that was only to charge me $439.05. I have still not been given any reason for why this happened or if it would be something that could happen again. Then the noise of someone else's fan from their bathroom began, which could be heard throughout our room all day and night, to be followed by ants in the room.

You could hear people running at all times of the day and night along with carts being pulled along the sidewalks outside. There were two elevators located for each two buildings which really made for a lot of walking to get to places.

The food was very expensive and was not a good quality for the money. We spent almost $60 for dinner for two people while our third (our daughter) ate for free. Very much not worth the price.

This was the first vacation that my husband has had in over a year since has been deployed to Iraq. This was the vacation he had with his family after returning just a month ago after being away from his family for one year."

What went wrong? Even though this vacation started out to be really bad, a simple complain to the manager on duty about that could have turned the situation around and also saved on the bill in the end.

For example: "I just dont see the point why I should walk 15 mintues back and forth just to get to the other side. Nobody told me about that! And, we can here the other guests bathroom. That is unacceptable!" could have brought a room move to a better location.
